DAY ONE:
I got my phone today from BZZAGENT. You haven't signed up yet? I highly recommend you do!
Fedex stopped by my house yesterday with my phone. I wasn't home! They left me a little slip to sign & leave out since a signature was required. I signed it & stuck it outside right away yesterday, and lo & behold, there was my phone today when I got home! WOW. This phone is amazing. It's simply amazing! First things first,, I popped out my old Tmobile SIM card from my slider phone, and quickly popped off the back of the H7. The battery came right out but it took me a couple minutes to find the slot for my sim card. I had to look in a couple different lights. to see where it was engraved for me to slip in my card. I suppose I could have opened my little START GUIDE booklet to see how to put in the SIM card and it would have saved me a bit of time. There was a little fabric flap under the cover too, I almost pulled out (like you do when you buy a toy & have to remove the little plastic tabs). I didn't and then I realized that the fabric was there to help easily remove the battery! PHEW! I powered up the phone up & was good to go! There was a basic SETUP WIZARD that walked me through setting up my phone. It was helpful since it's a new phone & I don't know my way around it yet. It asked me to enter my WINDOWS LIVE ID (which I didn't have). This will allow me to access additional features & applications that I normally wouldn't. It did allow me to skip this step & I went back and signed up later. The Start SCREEN has tiles, BIG TILES that are easy to push & every touch made the phone react at the speed of lightning. The "home" page is easily customizable, and I un-installed the $10/month MAPS that came with the phone. To remove this from my home page, I just held my finger on the tile for a second & a little tack came up in the corner. I clicked on the tack & it was gone. I found it on my 2nd page home screen (there's a little arrow and you can move to the actual long menu with small tiles with one swipe of a finger). On this second menu page, I was actually able to un-install the application. There are so many Tiles to choose from! Starting at the top, it's TMOBILE, People/phonebook, Messages, Email, XBOX games, just sign in with your ID, NETFLIX!!!, Slacker Radio, Tmobile TV - watch TV TOTALLY FREE, Tmobile Family Room, Internet Explorer, Pictures, Music & Video, Marketplace, HTC HUB, & Facebook. Of course, now I want to TWEET about my HTC phone, but I've never been much of a tweeter. SO instead, I went to Facebook & low & behold, they have an app for WINDOWS 7 Phones! Perfect!
