Didn't realize I was missing the HD part of the HD7. Whoops! Here's another review of my BZZAGENT phone I'm checking out for HTC!
Ok, more reviews on this phone. I highly, highly recommend it, however I want to mention some of the downsides of this phone - which may or may not bother you.
The camera takes great photo's. In dim lights, I've had some problems with the color being off. However, you can download an app & it has photo editing software that will help with your pics. I haven't tried it yet. But I think I will today!
The flash is blinding. It's a great flash, but your subjects may experience temporary blindness or see spots after you take the pics. This always bothered my on my husbands Blackberry. But I am honestly glad to just have a flash!
Video Recording: While capable for High Def recording, you have to manually change to HD every time you record, if you want to use HD recording. When not used, the video camera will default to a lower quality. To switch back to HD, you just go to "Settings" and change the quality. It would be nice to have a "save" feature on this setting. Not a big deal to me, but to you it may be!!
There is a real lack of custom ringtones. The phone is preloaded with a BUNCH of ringtones, so many that I haven't taken the time to listen to them all. I don't understand how I can have music on my phone but I am not given the option to make my own ring tones. Is this due to the Windows 7 OS? I hope this is fixed! It is a bummer to me.
There is not an SD card slot to expand memory. Since the phone already has 16GB, I would never need additional memory, but others night.
Deleting Texts: this has to be done manually, one by one. HUH? Yeah, you heard me right. You can't go in & clear out the memory of all your texts. They have to be done individually - or in a group (but you still have to go through every conversation & press the circle next to it to highlight it so it deletes). This is a major annoyance. Hopefully it will be fixed next time around.
I haven't figured out how you space backwards on the keyboard. There is a backward arrow with an "x" in the middle. This deletes. If you want to write in CAPS, you have to click on the up arrow for every letter. I do miss a keyboard, I've always had a slide out. There is more room for error when you have a touch screen.
You cannot save any drafts. If you start typing a message & are interrupted, you can lose your message. Sometimes I wrote myself a reminder & saved it in my drafts on my last phone. This one you can't.
Short battery life. Yeah, I was spoiled with another phone that lasted 3 days. After having my phone on for 6-8 hours, the battery is 1/4 drained.
Haven't found a back space button for browing on the internet. Where could this be?
Also in texting, there is a smily face icon in your keyboard. I don't know how this appears on the recipients end. It is kind of nice that they are pre-programmed into the phone.
