I'm feeling a tad bit silly because just the other day, I blogged this post about how I was loving The Factor tree! Well, not so much me as my son. However, things have taken a turn. I had parent/teacher conferences last night & my 4th graders teacher still expressed concern over my sons math understanding. She hasn't seen an improvement at all & I had mentioned how we've been having him do the daily quizzes/worksheets on this cool software called Factor Tree that I got to try free as I am a bzzagent and was working with my son with the software daily & he seemed to enjoy it. Well, the teacher shared with me that my son had mentioned his mom had him do extra work on the computer on some "tree" program and he didn't really like it. Hmmmm, so this is strange. I haven't heard this before!
So, coming home & talking to my son about Factor Tree & his nightly quizzes, I found out he was telling his teacher the truth. It wasn't something that he loved doing, and it wasn't something he thought was helpful. Hmmmm.....now I'm going to reconsider this. What about you - have you tried it with your free code (BZF)? Inquiring minds want to know!
